Take a good look at the 910

I went for a couple of runs over the weekend, both very wet. Saturday up my local hill, managing to get to the top this time and not heading into unknown wild territory. (Actually, I was quite glad I was not lost scrabbling through the brambles as hunting was going on there big style. Part way up my steep section I had a gaggle of hunters coming down trying to get to the Bore they had just shot that was bleeding onto the path next to me)

Anyway I digress, I know this hill is about a 300m elevation gain and I know the 5km I did today to be between 50-100m (flat). I also know I did not run down any cliffs - even though I did fall when a root grabbed my foot:

I am crap at keeping records, so I rely on my machines to do that..... Am seriously considering the 910 after today.

To scoot to school

17 Jan 2011

I went into Decathlon a couple of days ago with the kids. They wanted me
to buy a scooter so I could scoot (is that the right verb) to school
with them. They are in the same isle as skateboards and since as a kid I
was crap at skateboarding but could get away with hanging with the other
kids I though maybe that may be ore fun to have. It would improve
balance and core.

To cut a story shorter than it already is, I ended up on my ass in the
middle of Decathlon with a very loud series of bangs as the board flew
into a shelf. - I came home with the scooter.

New Shoes

19 Jan 2011

After a year in my Adidas Riot 3 (got on well with them) I have bought a new pair of shoes and I did bloody them on their first day of action. It has thawed and now there is mud every where.

hup, hup, hup

I went out today hoping to do a hill run and got lost twice in Wet juniper (I think) bushes, only managed 5km and a little under 200m vertical. Had to walk 50m vertical as it was 100% bramble - I did not want to go back down the logging track I had just climbed. It started raining with 4degree temperature and I had shorts on. A bit of a mare (for a flatlander) loved every bit of it:
