Two new laws of running

Two new laws, arrived at empirically from observing myself - Clearly highly scientific.

Law 1: Time spent running trail for any individual is a function of elevation gain. Horizontal distance is irrelevant. (Assuming no flat)

Law 2: All runners with children between the age of 1.5 and 2.5 will have Achilles problems. (I can only imagine this is due to carrying the child as opposed to using a push chair. After 2.5 the parent gets fed up or the child gets stronger and the Achilles gets better)
